About Seattle Flow
Your front door to Seattle's startup scene. The news, events, jobs, and people. Welcome to the fold.
Seattle Flow is a founder-led effort to help Seattle's founders find each other and get heard. It helps you discover and understand the news, podcasts, startups, organizations, events, jobs, and more. The Seattle region is full of exceptional talent building amazing tech startups. We are in the business of encouraging more people to become founders, and founders to build better companies.
We are not a new community. We help you find existing communities. We are not a media company. We amplify those writing and talking about what's happening in the startup scene around here. We are not middlemen. We put you in touch with the people, organizations, and resources that help you.
What you'll find here
- Every story about a startup or investor in the Puget Sound (we are generous with our definition of Puget Sound), regardless if it's from traditional media, social media, a newsletter, podcast, or video.
- Every person building, investing, supporting, or helping startups grow.
- Every startup and organization/company supporting startups in our region.
- Every event about or for tech startups, founders, and investors, and some adjacent ones.
- Every community, job, product, book, and more about and for startups in the region.
That's a lot, so we'll also go the extra mile to curate everything so you can get your daily dose, find recommendations, and use this service in a way that best fits you. You can enjoy our website and newsletter today, and in the coming months we'll launch our Mobile App, Podcast/Video channel, Slack App, and MCP for your AI Agent.
What we believe
We believe in founders. They are at the center of a vibrant innovation economy. And they are our primary customer. Founders lead. Investors, operators, mentors, and friends help them build.
We also believe Seattle needs to build more loudly. Read our full Seattle Flow Manifesto.
Who's behind it
I'm Marcelo Calbucci. I've been building Seattle Flow in my head for over twenty years, and finally, the technology caught up to what I thought was possible. I've been a tech product builder for over 30 years. I've led product and engineering at Amazon and Microsoft, but for most of my career I've built 0-to-1 products in many startups I founded or joined as part of the early team. I have also organized over 100 events and conferences since the days I created Seattle 2.0 (sold to GeekWire), and more recently Startup Day 2026.
Seattle Flow is part of the Fold Network, run by The Fold, Corp.
