Anthropic Acquires Seattle AI Startup Vercept to Boost Claude’s Desktop Automation Capabilities

Anthropic has acquired Seattle AI startup Vercept, integrating its desktop 'computer use' technology and team to enhance Claude's ability to perform multi-step tasks within live applications. As part of the deal, Vercept will shut down its Vy application and encourage users to switch to Claude.
