Aurion Biotech Secures FDA Designations to Fast-Track Vision-Restoring Cell Therapy for Corneal Edema

Aurion Biotech received FDA Breakthrough Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy designations to accelerate approval of its cell therapy for corneal edema, a vision-impairing disease. The company recently completed enrollment in a Phase 1/2 trial in the US and Canada and has approval to use the therapy in Japan.
