Boom Learning founders Mary and Eric Oemig see surge in Boom Cards usage since 2020 amid pandemic
Husband-and-wife founders Mary and Eric Oemig started Kirkland-based ed‑tech startup Boom Learning in 2015, and the company has seen rapid growth in usage of its Boom Cards since 2020 as schools shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Both founders have backgrounds in education and Microsoft, and Eric served as a Washington state senator focused on education policy.
