Kyoto Fusioneering, a Tokyo-based fusion energy startup with a U.S. office in Seattle, raised nearly $6.9 million in a funding round including new investment from CIA-backed In-Q-Tel and corporations Marubeni and Nichicon. The company has raised $95 million to date and is developing fusion fuel cycle test facilities in Japan and Canada.
