Seattle-based human composting startup Recompose launched a $5 million crowdfunding campaign on Wefunder open to unaccredited investors, aiming to grow its innovative funeral services. Founded by CEO Katrina Spade in 2017, Recompose has raised $27 million to date, operates facilities in Washington, and offers a sustainable alternative to burial and cremation.
