UW Alum Janie Bube Launches Sensol Systems to Install Illuminated Ground-Level Crosswalks after 2018 Collision

After being struck by a bicyclist in a Seattle crosswalk, University of Washington alum Janie Bube founded Sensol Systems to improve pedestrian visibility with illuminated, ground-level crosswalk panels that light up beneath walkers; the startup launched in spring 2020 after university grants and accelerator support.
