Seattle dropped 10 spots to No. 20 in Startup Genome’s 2023 global startup ecosystem rankings, reflecting a slowdown in funding and unicorn activity despite still being a strong tech hub. The city had only two large exits in 2023 and saw fewer Series A deals, amid a broader industry downturn.
