Seattle tech founders Mark Michael and Patrick Opie launch Gumwall on April 13 to raise $1-per-piece donations for restaurant workers
Two Seattle tech workers launched Gumwall, a website where users pay $1 to remove a piece of virtual gum and reveal an image, with proceeds benefiting restaurant and hospitality workers affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The site, created by Mark Michael (DevHub) and Patrick Opie (Scout9), went live April 13 as a playful fundraising alternative during the pandemic.
