Stoke Space completes Hopper2 VTVL test, lands reusable second-stage after 15-second, 30-foot flight
Stoke Space completed a successful Hopper2 VTVL test in Moses Lake, flying its reusable second-stage demonstrator to 30 feet and landing after a 15-second flight while validating its hydrogen/oxygen engine, regeneratively cooled heat shield, differential-throttle attitude control, avionics, and ground systems. The company says the test finishes its Hopper tech-demonstration program, achieved several industry firsts and milestones, and produced data to evolve the vehicle toward a reliable reusable space vehicle.
