Portal Space Systems unveils Supernova with solar-thermal engine, 6 km/s delta-v and $3M in DoD contracts

Portal Space Systems unveiled a high-thrust solar-thermal propulsion system for its 500 kg Supernova spacecraft, claiming rapid orbital transfers (LEO to GEO in hours) and 6 km/s delta-v, and has won $3M in DoD contracts to support development and a planned first flight demo in late 2025/early 2026.
